A self-taught painter, he has sold professionally since 1993. He  studied costume design for stage, television and film at the Otis Art Institute in Los Angeles, California. Currently, he is working on a series of audiobooks, bringing his stories to life and writing screenplays full time with a project he plans to direct. 

This man lives for the isolation and fascination of nature, which is greatly reflected in his writings. He has said,  "There is no better friend than a dog; no better companion than a tree."
